When I decided to add a puppy to my household I knew I would need help. I’m a single professional and although I work only 2 miles from home, I can’t get home in the middle of the day routinely to meet the needs of a growing puppy (and housetraining). I researched dog-walking services, asked my vet, friends/neighbors, checked Angie’s List and all indicators pointed me to Nana’s Pet Sitting. I contacted Linda (owner) who came out the very next day to meet Izzy (my puppy, then 8 weeks old). Linda’s love for animals is obvious when talking to her and her flexibility/customer service is refreshing.
She has a regular woman (Amber) who comes in daily to walk Izzy. But she goes so far beyond simply walking her… she works on her basic commands (sit, stay, come, etc), leaves me notes about how uniquely special & talented Izzy is (all Mom’s love to hear that), gives me tips about what I need to expose her to in order to make my life easier (brushing, nail trimming, etc), she has even brought in my recycling bins & trash can on garbage day! She’s like Izzy’s “other mom”. Even my neighbors have come up to me and told me how great my dog-walker is… “they REALLY WALK your puppy”. And that makes me feel great knowing someone who loves her so much is taking care of her when I cant be there. When I can be there, I’m able to let Linda know and she adjusts the schedule without question or penalty, and credits me.
I’m so glad to have found Linda, Amber and Nana’s PetSitting. I recommend her business to any pet owner who needs some extra, loving support.

Because I work long hours, my Bulldog Abby wasn't getting the attention she needed and deserved. I would feel so guilty leaving everyday, until I called Linda. She came over at my convenience to meet Abby and was so efficient and trustworthy. She began walking Abby the next day. I recently found a terrific pet sitting service that I would like to recommend. It is Nana's Pet Sitting, located in Charlotte. I had an emergency trip come up recently. My Mother became quite ill and I was needed out in California. I was very stressed out, because I had never left my dog Charly with anyone but family before. I heard about Nana's and called. The owner, Linda Edwards and I had a long conversation and she came over that night. She took careful notes on everything from where the food was located in the kitchen, when to walk Charly, where to walk her, when to give treats, what medicine she took and when and many other important things. I was very comfortable and felt much better after spending that time with Linda. Charly immediately was crazy about her. You can tell instantly she's a true "critter" lover. I decided I wanted someone to spend the night every night with Charly, since she's never been alone at night. The day I left, Linda came over with Lisa, who would be spending most nights with Charly. I asked them to call me several times a day and they would call and let me know how she was and assure me that she was doing great. They also kept a daily log of their visits and how Charly was doing. As I said, I spoke with both Linda and Lisa and felt very comfortable. This organization is bonded and insured. They all know CPR and require emergency contact lists with Vet info. They have a great website, linda@nanaspetting.com and their phone number is 704-302-6171. My house looked great when I got back. They also brought in my mail and other house type things. Most importantly I had a well taken care of and happy dog. I can't say enough good things about them. I was so distressed leaving Charly and was very anxious, but they were great! I will definitely use Nana's again.
