Melody was born in Cleveland, OH,and has lived in the Charlotte area since she was 6 years old. Along with the usual dogs and cats growing up, Melody’s mother was patient enough to allow her to have all kinds of other animals like gerbils, rabbits, turtles, hamsters, hermit crabs, and more. As soon as she bought her first house, she got Zeke, a Boston Terrier, or “her child” as she refers to him. She now has 2 cats in addition to Zeke, one which she found in a dumpster at one of her old jobsites. She was in the homebuilding business for 15 years, where she had the opportunity to take Zeke to work with her most of the time. “It was great. Zeke was able to socialize with other people and dogs and be with me at the same time. I don’t know who enjoyed it more, him or me.” Ask her about pet sitting and this is what she has to say: “I know I’m doing something right, when I walk out to my garage and glance at the Nana’s Pet Sitting magnet on my car and a grin just sneaks up on my face!” Melody will be spending most of her pet sitting time in the areas around Davidson, Kannapolis, Huntersville and Cornelius.

Susan said that she loves dogs and animals in general because "I've had them all of my life. When my children were younger, we had several different breeds at a time. Animals are very comforting to come home to after work and then be greeted by the wagging tail, meow or a bark! Their love is unconditional as long as they live and they all have their own cute personalities."
Susan, pictured here with her dog, Hibachi, will be spending her time in the Steele Creek and surrounding areas.

Heather was born in Greensboro,N.C. "After seeing 101 Dalmatians when I was four, I begged for a Dalmatian pup for my fifth birthday. Instead, I got a minature schnauzer when I was close to six years old. My parents called me a natural with animals and I have had a love for them ever since. I took care of Rex, my schnauzer, until he was almost fifteen years old. I grieved when he died and then I contacted a Corgi breeder. I now own a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and a Shepard/Beagle mix. I adopted the Shepard/ Beagle mix when I was a Kennel Assistant at Guilford Jamestown Veterinary Hospital in Greensboro, N.C. I am currently in my junior year as a Social Work major but I love animals so much that I have thought if Social Work does not work out for me, I can attend Veterinary School. Heather will be visiting your pets in the University Area.
Please take a moment to meet NANA’S TEAM! Each and every one of the Pet Sitters listed below are INCREDIBLE!!! They have ALL been through a comprehensive background check and have proven to be honest, dependable and worthy of my trust and yours. Every one of them owns, loves and cares for their own pets and is anxious to meet yours! We have our own set of training procedures and standards in place and these standards are followed 100%. After every visit with your pets, a note will be left explaining everything that was accomplished and completed by your pets and your pet sitter. Maureen moved to the Charlotte area in 2006 and loves living here. "I have a great love for all animals and I have been working with them for most of my life." She is originally from NY and was a pet groomer for over 20 years. "I have 3 dogs of my own and I love them dearly. They are a big part of my family. I understand that when you trust a pet sitter to care for your animals, it is like hiring a babysitter for your child. They are a big part of your family and you only want the best for them. I promise to care for your furry friend as if I was caring for your child. I love my job!!" Maureen will be spending her time in the Indian Trail, Waxhaw, Monroe, Weddington, Matthews and Mint Hill areas.
Beth is from Columbus, Ohio and has lived in Charlotte for over four years. She grew up with a yellow lab named Paige and often looked-after all of the neighborhood animals when their families were out of town. As soon as she moved to Charlotte, she adopted a cat that she named Buckeye from the Charlotte Humane Society. Shortly thereafter, she rescued a stray cat that she named Freddie. Buckeye and Freddie are now her babies and they live with her in her condo in uptown Charlotte. Beth hired Nana’s Pet Sitting to care for Buckeye and Freddie when she was out of town and decided she wanted to be a part of the team after learning what great care her cats received! Beth loves walking and running with dogs as well as petting and playing with cats. She is excited to be working with Nana’s Pet Sitting and cannot wait to meet your pets! Beth is pictured here with Buckeye and she will be visiting your pets in the Uptown, Dilworth, Plaza Midwood and SouthPark areas of Charlotte.
