Hello! My name is Linda Edwards, I am the owner and founder of Nana’s Pet Sitting. I have always lived in a multi-pet household and currently have three cats, Holly, Leo and Murphy along with my border collie, Gracie. I started Nana's Pet Sitting in 2007 after moving from Macon, Georgia in 2006. Before getting into the pet business I was a stay-at-home mom for 15 years and loved every minute of it.
A friend once said to me...
"Linda, when I come back in my next life,I want to come back as one of your pets!"
I was also successful in the corporate world for many years selling insurance, but in 2006 I made the move to Charlotte. I moved, in a sense, to start my life over. My husband and love of my life suddenly passed away and I found myself looking for something that made me as happy as he did.

I woke up one morning to my beautiful border collie Sophie staring me in the face and it hit me - pets!

As a child, my father taught me to be kind to anything that breathed. I always took my children to museums, zoos and to feed the ducks. After Katrina, I helped my grandchildren sell lemonade to raise money for the homeless pets from the hurricane. I continue to work with local shelters and rescue groups through donations, classes and sponsoring events.

I guess I can say that I rediscovered a great love that I had basically taken for granted. The fact is, animals bring me great peace, joy and happiness. I truly enjoy spending time with them and they bring me the joy that faded from my
life after my husband passed.
Shortly after starting Nana's Pet Sitting I became certified in pet first aid and CPR through the Red Cross, but did not feel the Red Cross program was as intensive as I wanted it to be. After a little research I discovered PetTech, the first international training center for cats and dogs, and their pet first aid and CPR programs. My assistant and I completed the eight hour class and I was so impressed with the course content I knew immediately that all Nana's sitters needed to complete this training. I also knew I wanted to be apart of the PetTech family and help promote first aid, wellness, CPR and pet care to all pet parents. So, I became an instructor, then later a Master PetTech instructor and launched Nana's Pet First Aid & CPR

My pet sitting business has led me into pet care, first aid, CPR, wellness and has recently expanded into a pet store. Throughout the many years of pet sitting I noticed a common thread among pet parents- how quickly their dogs went through toys. From stuffed animals to squeakers to tennis balls. I thought about this for a while and decided to provide my clients with a solution and so began the search for truly durable toys. Today, I have an online website with what I believe to be the best compilation of pet products out there. Everything I sell is tested on my and approved by my pets and I sell products that will make your pet's life happier, healthier, safer and more enjoyable.

Nana's Pet Sitting has earned the Angie's List Super Service Award consistently since 2009. I am very proud of my business, my sitters and blessed with wonderful clients who have and continue to trust me with their homes and pets.

I could not imagine doing anything else with my life. I have four beautiful pets but well over 2,000 pet clients that I love and care for as if they were my own!

Woofs, meows and the warmest regards,

Linda Edwards
